Love Hotels at Badlands National Park at Kadoka SD

I felt love here. Nice stay. The badlands area is very rustic. It's a relief to have a nice clean shower, easy access off the freeway, and kind people. I recommend it for a simple stay of good rest. Thank you!!!!

Very clean the manager was extremely friendly and nice. Made me feel at home and welcome. It's doesn't look like much on outside but we all shouldn't judge by it's looks. I slept like a baby and felt very safe very peaceful and quiet. You must stop and enjoy the hospitality Blue gave and all I gotta say see you again Bleach Lady Take care Blue and beautiful Kam!

Surprisingly pleasant! Typically one gets what they pay for... but this place is both budget friendly, pet friendly, surprisingly clean, and we were able to book a room for the night at the last-minute. Indeed, the rooms (and building) are a bit outdated... there were a few stains on the floor - however, that's expected for most of the hospitality businesses both in the area and abroad. There's clear signs of continuous maintenance, fresh coats of paint, and simply good cleanliness. The staff was friendly enough that had we any concerns I'm sure they'd take action. The pool seemed closed (likely due to COVID, or maintenance?), our AC unit seemed a bit overworked, and the property seems to be currently listed for sale online at the moment... not sure what's going on there but whoever is currently managing the place seems to be holding it together quite well! We were camping in the area but came into Kadoka for respite from the impending weather. Not sure what there's to do in the entire local area, but this is a good stopping place regardless of where you are heading towards in South Dakota. Some reviews mentioned flies in the room - and indeed, after our arrival many little plant bugs were found in our room. This was AFTER our arrival & after we packed-in. Just remember that the motel is open-air entry and if you don't keep your door closed (and turn out your lights) during the warmer seasons, YOU are likely the one inviting them in as they're relentless in this area. If I ever pass through and need a place to stay, I'll definitely consider Lakota Lodge as a good option!

We came over for a night on our roadtrip. At the counter we had to call someone to show up but didn’t had to wait long. The house is a little bit older but they had some things done I guess because everything is clean and the rooms look good. The beds are also not new and one had a metal piece at the bottom hanging out, which’s seems a little dangerous for the feet to me. And the blankets are thin. Overall it is a totally fair stay if you consider that price.

The front desk lady (Taylor) was awesome, the rooms were very clean, and for how big the rooms are its amazingly cheap

Pretty nice, you can tell they are in the process of remodeling. It is older but I liked that the beds were separated by the bathroom so there was a little more privacy than a normal double room. The pillows were fluffy and the TV was viewable from either bed and there were plenty of channels available to watch. There was a mini fridge and microwave and the friendly staff asked if we wanted a hot or cold breakfast for the morning. Overall it was a nice stay and if I were ever in the area I would stay there again.

The gal who works the front desk was very helpful with assisting us to our rooms and provided great customer service.

It’s been a week maybe since I’ve been here. But if the ac is a little dirty and the sheets and pillows we were provided. The staff were nice and humorous. Not a big fan of the cold hotpockets in the breakfast area!! But there were so many cats and dogs that are nice and lovely (pretty too hehe!!) if you need somewhere to sleep come to this area if needed. The cats and dogs are a beauty<3 It was kind of hard to sleep but it’s nice. It’s kind of far from the town a little. It’s near a farm like kinda you know, it looks small and bad but it’s like a little square inside. The stairs are kinda stiff and titled. It’s ok I wouldn’t call it luxury! Sorry if you do not satisfy my review
